We want to state categorically that the website only attempts to list educational institutions operating in Ghana, regardless of their relationship with the accreditation board and our privacy policy, which can be found on the website clearly states that. Our service to the ordinary Ghanaian is to make it easy for them to access the basic information on educational institutions operating in Ghana. Again, the privacy policy on the website clearly advises patrons to cross-check the accreditation status of the institutions before dealing with them. The information on the website was gathered from a Ghana Education Service directory as well as from publications in the National Daily’s. They were not given to us directly by the institutions as we are now making efforts to visit the individual institutions. We take full responsibility for publishing the information on our website but as stated above, our only aim is to make information on educational institutions in Ghana easily accessible to stakeholders and we are doing this free of charge. We do however sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused the institutions mentioned in the public notice in question. We wish to state categorically that the institutions mentioned; i.e. London School of Business & Finance, Quince Lincoln University College, Canadian Independent College of Ghana, Maharishi International University and Ethel-Jane University College of Sports, were in no way responsible for their listing on www.ghanaschoolsonline.com. We want to take this opportunity to apologize to these institutions and to reiterate that, whiles we agree that probably we listed them in the wrong category on our website, our only aim in listing them is to give stakeholders easy access to their services and that no malice was intended. In the same light, we are unhappy that the National Accreditation Board, publishers of the said notice in the Daily Graphics, in quoting our website to embarrass the institutions involved did not find it worthwhile to cross-check with us first before going to press to embarrass institutions that probably are operating legally in this country. We appreciate the watchdog role of the National Accreditation Board (NAB). However, we are of the strong view that this issue was not appropriately handled. We pray and hope that we (the National Accreditation Board & Dothouse Company Ltd) will take the appropriate steps to remedy the situation and work together for the common good of the institutions as well as their patrons. Once again, we apologize for our role in the inconvenience caused. Mr. Christian Adusu-Donkor Managing Director Dothouse Company Ltd. +233-21-421968 |
