Old Achimotans hold Teachers Appreciation Day

THE 1989 Year Group of the Old Achimotans Association (OAA/Akoras) has held a Teachers' Appreciation Day in honours of teachers of their alma mater. 

The ceremony, which was held at the Achimota School Staff Club House, brought together past and present teachers of the school to dine with members of the 1989 Year Group. 

 

According to the group, the gesture was to celebrate teachers of Achimota School and also recognize their efforts in ensuring their development. 

 

The Guest Speaker at the ceremony was Archbishop Gabriel Charles Palmer-Buckle, the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra who is himself an old teacher of the school. 

 

In his address, Archbishop Palmer-Buckle expressed his gratitude to the' 89 group for the honour done the teachers, and implored other year groups to come together and support the development of the school. 

 

Mr. Awuah, a representative of the teachers, thanked the year group for giving them an early Christmas feast and gifts. 

 

The President of the 1989 Year Group, Akora Tetteh Padi, announced that their appreciation would not end with the dinner and pointed out that the group had lined up some other activities in Support of the teachers.
